I heart moving

We officially have a home and all of our stuff is "in" it. We have unpacked a lot of stuff...but the junk keeps coming out of the woodwork! No idea why we have so much paperwork. Our place does feel like home and I love that we all settled in so fast. AND I GOT MY DIAPER SPRAY RECONNECTED! I almost cried after the first time. It wasn't as bad squishing in our new toilets as they are not the crazy low flow style, but the sprayer is just that much easier. We bought shelving for our storage room and now all the store's stock is super accessible.
Calgary received an awesome amount of snow Saturday night and I got tired of working around the boxes holiday decorations, so last Sunday we took our family on an adventure to find and cut down our perfect tree. The Jr Forest Wardens have a site the SRD gave them to raise funds. You pay the $5 for a permit and go cut down your own tree. The area is one that was re-planted back in 1992 and needs to be thinned out. It's win-win. The trees need to be thinned, the trees are native species (Lodgepole Pine ~ Alberta's official tree), and the travel/shipping time is minimum compared to others that come in from Nova Scotia. We had a blast! It's about 45 minutes west of Calgary. We decorated it tonight...more decorating/tidying to happen before pictures can be taken.

The girls settled quite well. They love sharing their room and love messing up their play room. We purposely decided they should share a bedroom. One, it's a good life lesson (I know, I shared with both of my sisters throughout my childhood). Two, we wanted to separate the playing and sleeping. And three, well, it's a little selfish. Both girls love to cuddle and we want to cuddle in our own bed alone. So far, it has been working for half a night. I need that half though.
We are still awaiting business licence and occupation permit...hopefully soon?? Something else has come up too but don't worry. I took a day job that started this week. There are a couple reasons, but at this point I thought it best for my family. There is daycare available in the building and I am hoping it eliminates the mother's guilt that goes along with working inside or outside of the house. I can go seem them if I need! Day one and the kids already didn't even want to say goodbye; they started playing as soon we entered. We will continue operating as an online store. Pick-up times will still be available one evening during the week and one weekend day. We still are working with times due to kids activities...you know how it goes. I will respond to all emails and phone calls within 48 hours. Your patience is very much appreciated!
We have a couple items headed our way soon included more Woollybottoms wool soakers, flip trainers and Punkin Booty Foaming Booty!!
Take care and drive safe out there!!
