Calgary's Best Resources for Pregnancy and Beyond: Gina Rino Pregnancy & Labour Preparation Acupuncturist

Gina Rino Fertility Pregnancy Labour Accupunturist Calgary AB

Here at Adventures of Little, I love to share relevant and local Calgary businesses on the blog! I am so happy to introduce you Gina Rino, Pregnancy & Labour Preparation Acupuncturist! I am a big believer in the power of acupuncture. I received care from about 28 weeks to 41.5 weeks during my second pregnancy for general pain management, relaxation and finally as a way to help my body go into labour. Gina is a great source of information for women in Calgary and shares her experiences and tips below!

What service or product do you offer to Calgary families?

I have a special interest in creating community, awareness and education about holistic fertility, healthy pregnancy, natural pain relief during labour and post natal care for mom, birthing partners and baby. By combining Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, Acutonics (acupuncture without needles), Herbology, cupping and acupressure, I offer clients unique treatments, tailored to their individual and ever changing needs. I focus heavily on educating and empowering my patients so that they can take an active role in their family's and their own well being.

What path lead you to where your business is today?

As a young woman & now, a new mother, I realized the unique needs & limited choices for women's health care. I turned to Holistic Medicine for more natural and effective treatment options that get to the root of a health concern, not just cover up a symptom. Traditional Chinese Medicine is a Whole medical system that offers healthy, safe options for a woman's and her family's health.

What is your best pregnancy advice for moms and their partners?

Education is Power. Knowing your options is power. This is Your Body, Your Baby, Your Birth. You are your best advocate. You DO have choices. And know them. And this will be the most empowering event in your life.

What is your best postpartum advice for moms and their partners?

You, baby, skin to skin. Let the emotions flow through you. Ride it. Take a week to just BE together as a family, quietly and together.

What is your best newborn advice for moms and their partners?

You will have many adventures together and find what works for you. And that's okay because that's what works for you.
